What we collect
If you join the waitlist, we keep your email address, the date you joined, the page you signed up on, which list you joined, that you ticked the consent box, and which version of the sign-up text you saw. We also keep when we sent your confirmation email, a hash of its single-use token, and when you confirmed. A mail log counts confirmation and welcome emails without storing addresses; it is linked to your entry until the entry is deleted, and is deleted within a day after 62 days. This site has no analytics, no tracking and no advertising cookies.
Why
To send you news about our games, starting with Experiment 0x01. The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR). First, Cloudflare Email Service sends a confirmation email. You only join the list after you press the confirmation button. After confirming, you get one welcome email, if our mail budget allows it. We never sell your address or share it for marketing.
Where it is kept
In a Cloudflare D1 database in the European Union. Cloudflare, Inc. (USA) hosts this site and processes the data for us under its data processing agreement, which uses the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. To stop abuse, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that you are human once you start filling in the form, and Cloudflare reads your IP address when you send it, to count attempts per minute. Turnstile does not set advertising or tracking cookies. We do not store or log your IP address. Messages you send to our address are forwarded to our email provider. Cloudflare Email Service processes your address to deliver the confirmation and welcome emails. These emails have no tracking images or links. Their images and fonts are hosted on our own domain.
How long
Unconfirmed entries that have not left the list are deleted within a day after 7 days from the last confirmation email (or from sign-up if no email was sent), by our daily cleanup. Confirmed addresses remain on the list until you leave it, or until we close it. We keep the address of someone who left the list, marked as unsubscribed, for as long as the list exists only to prevent it being added again; you can ask hello@0xelabs.com to delete it completely, after which we can no longer block a new sign-up with it. When you ask us to delete your data, we do it within 30 days.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. Write to the contact above. You can also complain to the data protection authority in your country.
Your browser
The site remembers two choices in this browser tab only: whether you already saw the logo intro, and whether you paused the animations. They are never sent to us.
Changes
If this page changes, its version date changes. We will not use your address for anything new without asking you first.
